What You Should Know About Viruses And How To Protect Against Them

The internet has become such a common tool that most people use on a regular basis but one thing that is always overlooked about the internet is the safety of your computer. There are many different harmful things out there on the internet that can harm your computer like malware or spyware but the purposes of this article we are going to talk about viruses and why they slow down your computer. A virus is just a piece of software that has been written to harm a computer.

This will just eat up your computers resources which in the long run will slow down your computer. Now what most people do when their computer starts to slow down is they will go out and buy a registry cleaner which will make your computer a bit faster, but it will not have nearly as much leverage as if you were to simply get rid of all of the malicious software that is on your computer.

So if the solution isn’t to get a registry cleaner, what is it? Well there are many different program that you can download to get rid of things like malware and spyware but for the purposes of this article we are going to focus on protecting and removing viruses from your computer. To do this I am going to recommend 2 different anti-virus software’s to you, the first you can either use the free version or pay for a more „advanced“ version and the second which only comes in a paid version.

The main program that I use for my anti-virus is called AVG Anti-Virus. Now to start off I’m going to warn you that there is a free version and a paid version of the software. If you are short on cash don’t worry to much – the free verion work just fine and it was the main one that I used for a long time. That being said, obviously the paid version of this software just has a few more fany features on, but you dont really have to have them. If you do decided to use AVG, you are going to need to tune it to make your computer faster (it will natrually make your computer slower). There are many ways to configure AVG to do this, but for the purpose of this article we are going to focus on the biggest one: preventing AVG from performing a scan as soon as you turn on your computer. What this means is that you are going to have to manually tell it to perform scan when it is convenient for you. To do this just click on „Computer Scanner“, select „Manage Scheduled Scans“, select „Edit Scan Schedule“ and uncheck the box that says „Enable this task“. T34sh just click on save.

The second anti-virus program that I highly recommend is called ESET Nod 32 Anti-Virus. This is one htat you are going to have to pay for but you do get a lot more protection, it is easy to use and you do not have to configure it at all – it just runs smoothly and it won’t slow your computer down. I highly recommend this anti-virus to anyone.
